I'm not sure if there would be any implications with the law or not. And I've heard there is a huge waiting list for treatment. Can anybody shed any light?

If you speak to your doc, he will not call cops. but this will be in your records forever. and you might have to divulge this info or lie as regards possible questions about insurance etc. why not call a helpline first. yellow pages or google will provide numbers. treatnent is counselling based for this type of thing. good luck.

When I was in hosp, I went to the Medical Assessment Unit while waiting for a bed in a ward. In there, there was a fella who was in to try and get off cocaine. He was sweating like mad and was in obvious withdrawl, having pains and groaing etc. If ever there was an advert................... They should film someone going through treatment and show it to kids.
