Question: Cocaine withdrawal?
(Posted by: canada on 2008-01-11 13:59:57)
I was doing cocaine every weekend for almost 2 months. Maybe like once or twice a week. And then I stopped. The last time I did it was 4 weeks ago. So maybe 3 weeks ago I got a cold and cough and runny nose. And then maybe a week or 2 ago I am all of a sudden really tired the whole day, feel like passing out, dizzyness, lightheadedness, throbbing headache throughout the whole day, and also loss of appetite, and my eyes hurt. And this is still going on I am tired the whole day feel like sleeping all the time and my head hurts really bad. I dont have mono. I am not pregnant. I went through a traumatic experience recently. I was raped. So i dont know if that has something to do with it. The doctor says there is nothing physically wrong with me. My blood work came back fine. If it was viral wouldnt it show in my white blood count? Can someone please help me?? Could this be withdrawal from cocaine?? Please dont say dont do cocaine. i wasnt doing it everyday though...only maybe once or twice a week..for not even 2 months. |

Sometimes after doing coke regularily, it can take up to 3 months before you feel like your old self again. |

Yes. From my own personal experience with a similar drug, everything you are going through sounds like "normal " withdrawal symptoms. Just hang in there. Soon enough you will find yourself going back to feeling like a regular person again. I wish you all the best on your road to recovery. YOU CAN DO IT! |

Sounds like a mix of drug withdrawal and panic attacks...? Since you've gone through a traumatic event, you could be experiecing panic. Be honest with your doc about your cocaine use so they know the best way to treat you and handle your illness. Let them know you are stressed out as well. They will only use the info to help you. I hope you are better soon. And I hope you don't do anymore cocaine. I know you don't want to hear that, but it is really bad for you. It's the one thing I did in my past that I wish I never did. |

It sounds like you need some therapy...be true to yourself and those around you...This is not a healthy habit...take up something new like exercising or golf.... I understand you have been through a traumatic experience lately...the best thing you can do is get help. |
