Cocaine withdrawal.. what to expect when i come off?

Question: Cocaine withdrawal.. what to expect when i come off?

Im 17 years old and have been using on and off for 4 months.. i just didnt realize until about a week ago that i had been doing it that long and it just became a regular thing. i quit cold turkey for a week and wasnt myself at all. i was depressed, extremely agitated, had no confidence, and was going crazy. literally. everything seems different. life itself seems totally different and now im not even myself it seems. i threw the last of my stuff down the toilet yesterday and im done forever, after having chest pains and nosebleeds, loss of energy while exercising and weight loss, etc, im done. i dont care what happens, im just not going to use it anymore. i deleted all the peoples numbers tha ti know have the stuff so i cant get it anymore unless i REALLY tried. my question is, will i ever be like i was before i started using? i feel like theres something missing in my life, and felt like that even when i was on coke. any suggestions? i have also been smoking cannabis every night before i go to bed since december 21st, and it helps me sleep and curves the edge i got from cocaine and helps reduce cravings. but i also notice that when i turn into a stoner like this my personality changes drastically, i get lazy, apathetic, less confident and worse with the ladies, and just all around more introspective. i decided i wont be smoking anymore either, the combination of what the two drugs can do to me is just too much together. so am i totally screwed or will i get better?

You are going to get sick for a while, but if you can stick it out about 72 hours or so the worst will be over. If you need to get high to get through it, then do it, and then stop smoking weed. Two people very close to me quick cold turkey and had a really hard time -- shake, sweats, nausea, they even threw up, and MAN WERE THEY GROUCHY! But they had been on it a lot longer than you. After a couple weeks, they weren't dope sick anymore, but they still crave coke. They will always be an addict. You might be the same way. The good thing is you can start over and straighten up. Good luck -- it takes a lot of guts and strength to quit. I really hope the best for you.

I used to do tons of Coke back in college. To combat the awful withdrawals I'd take about 3 Benadryl. Benadryl did a good job of reducing the withdrawals. To answer your question...yes if you stay away from the coke for a while you'll be back to your good old self. I havent touched it in many years and I feel great. The addiction doesnt stay with you. Just stay away from it. Out of sight, out of mind.

You will get better, but as always it will take time. I was there, what you felt when you quit the first time is how you will feel again. If you really want to quit you will and you will make sure you don't try REALLY hard to find more. Find or confide in some one who does not have an addiction to help you. It will be easier. Or you could get down on your knees and get right with God. Then you won't have anything missing in your life.
