Question: I think this guy i talk to is addicted to cocaine.?
(Posted by: theatalova on 2009-06-13 21:41:32)
He admitted he used to be addicted, i know the people he used to hang with when he lived at home are still on them. But since he moved away he says he's clean. But he sniffles, has mood swings, and is always in the restroom. And he's skinny. He loves scarface and the cocaine scene, and when he has these mood swing moments when he zones out, he sings songs about cocaine and gangbanging. For some reason I get the feeling his family has sort of let him go. I confront him about it all the time and he never get's mad really. He always call's back with an explanation and tells me how much he loves me. I sometimes think he dont love me, he just does'nt want me to leave him because in his sane mind, he knows i know he's on them bad and dont wanna be left alone cause he needs help. But i know he dont want it. I do love him as a friend, his soul is beautiful when he's sober. He's told me stories about when being high on other stuff and thinking he was dead. He basikcally wanted to get as high as possible. He mixes different drugs together and with alcohol. im afraid he's gonna kill himself. HELP! |

You sound like such a kind and caring person, the only thing you can do is get away from him. I am so sorry that this sounds so harsh, but there is nothing you can do for him. He HAS to do this for himself and by himself. A HUGE sign is he's ALWAYS IN THE BATHROOM!!! As long as he keeps using he will have more negative effects, you will find money missing and he will tell you horrible stories you will feel sorry for him and end up in a horrible mess. You don't want to be his crutch and his enabler. Some times in life we have to put ourselves and our family first. There are many treatment centers and other places for him to get help. I am only saying this is save you alot of heartache. I was involved with someone much like your friend, he almost ruined my life. Go online and research all you can about cocaine addiction. |

Hi. I highly recommend you check out a new website where you can go and talk to a therapist for free. It's FeelBetterNetwork.com and they have free online support groups, free tools, and an Ask An Expert feature, where you can talk to an expert therapist online. Hope this helps you! |
