Im a recovering addict. Every time i did cocaine i would get very paranoid. one day i did so much in a short period of 2 days that i baracaded myself in my house, i got all the living room furniture and barracaded the front door then i went to my bedroom and did the samething, also i kept checking the same spots over and over cause i was sure there was someone in there hiding waiting to hurt me. why does cocaine induce these phsycotic episodes and does everyone who do drugs go thru the same thing?

Well I wouldn't exactly call it a psychotic episode. However, the essential function of drugs is to mess up your brain chemistry. Sometimes the effects are good, often the effects are not good. Cocaine in particular heightens your senses and can put your sympathetic nervous system on overdrive. This means that your heart races, you feel on edge and you may become anxious or paranoid.

Everyone reacts differently to drugs because everyones brain chemistry is different. When i do coke, i never get paranoid. My friend on the other hand, he is always freakin out and anxious when on it. So i guess it differs from person to person. It does speed up your heart rate and so cocaine does have this effect on people quite frequently.
