Question: I was put on probation for possession of marijuana will this affect me becoming a registered nurse?

It depends on what state you are liscensing in, but you shouldn't have a problem since its a misdemeanor...but I hope you don't still use it. Aside from being unsafe and unethical, you could lose your liscense. |

I don't think it will keep you out of nursing school. It isn't a felony, but call any nursing school and ask first.You can do this anonymously |

If you finish yoru probation successfully, your record should be cleared. Stay away from controlled substances. As a nurse if you have that as a matter of record, you may not be considered trustworthy around medications. |

I can only hope so,you are wanting to be a nurse and do drugs wouldnt want you to be a nurse for my family. |
